Not really a 'major-major' deal: Me on Venus Raj's 'Major-major'

"MAJOR-MAJOR" - Why is it some people keep on reacting this mistake that Venus Raj had made during the competition? Are they perfect? Are we perfect?
We should bear in our mind that joining a beauty pageant especially when it is watched by billions of people around the world is not just very easy, because if you were in that situation, surely we might do the same way. Venus might have unconsciously uttered the word 'major-major' due to nervousness and for me it's not even a big deal for the Filipinos to buzz about. Mistakes like this are unavoidable and are normal for every pageant and what's important for Venus was that her answer has still a point. Besides, as fellow Filipinos we should not pull Venus down just because of that mistake but instead we should be proud and thankful to her for she had done her best to be one of the top 5 and even won the 4th place in the Ms. Universe 2010 that made every Filipino proud of the country that she was bringing - Philippines. However, former Ms. Universe - Gloria Diaz said, Venus' answer was right but if only, that she had answered much better, she might be the Ms. Universe 2010. But for me, the question that was given to Venus was the most difficult one to answer among those questions of the four other candidates because it would mean for Venus to tell to the billion viewers about her personal life and her biggest mistake that she had done in the past. Talking about biggest mistake, aren't those things that we want to get rid from our memory? So try to recall you biggest mistake from the past, isn't it hard or painful or shameful or whatever to remember?
We might one who reacted on that Venus' mistake, but let us try to remember the big thing she had given to our country. We should honor her for she made it to the top 5 after 11 years that the Philippines  has been behind the pageant.
